David V. Hunter, Chief executive officer
Mr. Hunter has been a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for over
20 years and has been with the Mary Wade Home for 26 years. Mr. Hunter
directed the organization through the expansion of the nursing home
and the Adult Day Care Center. He is past Chairman of the Board
of Directors of the Connecticut Association of Homes and Services
for the Aging (CANPFA) and a recipient of CANPFA’S Humanitarian
Award. He served as a member of the Budget and Finance Committee
of the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging
(AAHSA) and completed a six year term as a Connecticut Delegate
to AAHSA. He is involved in many community health associations and
is past Chair of the Institute for Long Term Care Policy and Chair
of the South Central Connecticut Agency on Aging Interagency Council
as a Vice-Chair of the Franciscan Home Care Ethics Committee. Mr.
Hunter has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from
Southern Connecticut State University and a Master of Business Administration
from the University of New Haven.
Teresa Wells, Administrator
Mrs. Wells began employment with the Mary Wade Home in 1989. From
1994-1998, she served in the capacity of Assistant Administrator
until her appointment to Administrator in 1998. She also serves
as the Home’s Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer.
Mrs. Wells received her nursing home administrator’s
license in 1994 and has a Masters of Music in Violin Performance
from Ithaca College in New York and a Bachelors of Music in
Violin Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music
in Boston. She is active with CANPFA and serving as a member
of their Ethics Committee, Supportive Living Committee and
the Human Resource Council. She received the Business Time’s
Forty-Under-Forty Award in 2000.
Susan M. Redman, Chief Financial
Officer
Susan Redman joined the Mary Wade Home in October of 1998. She has
a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Central Connecticut State University
and received her Certified Public Accountant’s license in
1982. Her financial career spans over 25 years in the health care
industry. Ms. Redman has presented numerous speaking engagements
and has been an adjunct lecturer at the Hartford Graduate Center.
She is an active member of CANPFA and the Association for Long Term
Care Financial Managers.
